Hawke Cable Gland

Features of 501/453/RAC

Provides armour clamping using one clamping arrangement for all armour/braid types.

Outdoor or indoor use with with single wire armour ‘W’ known as NYFBy type , wire braid ‘X’ and steel tape armour ‘Z’ elastomer and plastic insulated cables.

What is one clamping arrangement?

The original RAC clamping system was created by Hawke and having proven performer in all conditions, by reversing the clamping ring, the cable gland itself can adjust to accommodate all types of cable armour or braid. Beside the correct stamping orientation is marked clearly with the armour size and backed up by the presence of a groove in the component. Our RAC clamping system is also fully inspectable when positioned on the cable, also provides a seal on the cables inner sheath.

One of the best of all of Hawke product is so called “Deluge protection”  option available per request, you may call us for detail tehnical specifications.

Hawke Stainless Steel Gland also provides a cable retention and low smoke, fume, zero halogen seal onto the cables outer sheath.

Here is the better way how to choose cable gland(Cara Memilih Cable Gland) type and size:

• Check the type and material of the cable armour : SWA , DSTA or Corrugated Armoured
• Check  Ampere and Voltage rating of the cable armour(**)
• Check the actual diameter of the inner diameter, check with with the brochures
• Check the actual diameter of the outside covering
• Check the actual size of the overall cable diameter
• Check any special environmental requirements in relation to corrosion protection, industrial or hazardous area
• Check the ingress protection rating of the electrical equipment or site standard
• Check whether fixing accessories such as locknuts and serrated washers are required.
• Check whether shrouds are required.
